@yngmar I respect the effort, but I'll warn you that I've done the same thing with what I assume to be the same bag once and it just kept falling apart because the plastic fibers were degraded.
I ultimately chose to decommission the bag because I figured all those little plastic particles essentially leaching into the environment were offsetting my effort to keep the bag in service.
I've seen been using cotton totes that were handed down to me.

@renardboy Yes I'm well familiar with UV degradation of polypropylene, but in this case it was just the stitches that failed.
If I find some better scrap material, I'll make some better carrier. This winter the carrier has proven itself
