I'm a little late to the party with this but just had a terrific time perusing the hashtag. If I might be so bold (and apologies if you've already done), I'm quite fond of cheery Swiss painter Arnold Böcklin. Particularly 'Self-Portrait with Death Playing the Fiddle', or perhaps 'Plague'? Or...perhaps marginally less insane, something by Gustav Klimt?

I am mildly concerned if Klimt is the sensible option mind you, I think he was my one absolute disaster
