It's Friday! Woohoo! Feels a little trite to wish everyone a good weekend in the midst of all this, but if at all possible it's important to try & recharge
Been a while since the dancers tried some live action moves, and they're maybe not as adept as Gene Kelly, but they enjoyed giving it a go.

Quick reminder that YOU TOO can star with the Friday Dancers!
Film yourself doing a step from a Friday Dance (disguises acceptable, but SFW please!) or just send your own funky moves in (fairly short & starting & finishing vaguely in the same position a bonus).
See what glorious nonsense we can make!

I'm always astonished by their ability to dance like they weigh nothing (Fred Astaire too). If I even attempted stuff like that, there'd be a hole through the floor.

Remember being amazed by the one where Fred Astaire dances on the rotating set. The combination of dance skill, nerdery of the rotating set and skill of the filming is astounding. Also nicely silly in places. Hits many buttons.

Watching the original, I realise I thought the room was just constantly slowly turning whereas in reality the transitions are quite fast!

I can proudly declare that a long time ago I started to learn this routine. Unfortunately I failed before the part when they jumped from the desk. -
