    Very excited to see that #NYTimes podcasters @kevin and @Casey created a Mastodon instance, the #forkiverse!

    Mastodon is often presented in media as weird and scary, having familiar names behind an instance can give fans a degree of comfort when making the change. More fanbases should do it!

      @JustinH @kevin @Casey Have often wondered what it would look like if some of the big youtubers decided to start their own instance for viewers. Having listened to the Distractible podcast I *know* that Markiplier has his own servers. Could probably do an invite only test version. See how it holds up.

          True story: one time I cornered him at a party and proselytized activitypub until he suddenly had to go wash his hair. I was worried I had turned him off of Mastodon forever...
