@PerryM Most of our scientific advances started from academic research and then was picked up by industry. For profit businesses can't afford to invest in projects with uncertain ROI. Agree the minority of funds that go towards fraud/waste/abuse are far outweighed by the benefits and lives saved from USAID investment.
