It often falls to women to figure out a family’s insurance puzzle."

@bicmay We are all suffering under the Trump Administration. My solace is that those who support him are going "WTF?".

@bicmay Not really Bich. If an individual has so little awareness or morality or intelligence as to not see what they have done, looking at a bill isn't going to change who they are.
It's much like MTG or Michael Cohen. Each was once in the Trump circle and screwed people at Trump's will. Does the fact that Trump turned on them change who they are?

I was talking to my dad yesterday and he thought we needed to invest in less industrialized nations. I pointed out that Trump cut USAID spending. He said that was a waste of money because it went to corrupt governments. I pointed out some money went to funding research that was cheaper to do abroad and now no one will benefit from it. He had no response. I am tired of talking to these people. I'm not sure anything will change until it impacts them.

@bicmay Bich, I can only point to the research that provided the Covid vaccine. Cheaper, less industrialized nations, as an example, did not or could not have provided the solution.
As to investment, where was the microprocessor developed? What about Windows software? Investment elsewhere will not be as effective or provide the same level of returns, results or application.
I contend that ALL governments are plagued by corruption. It is a product of human greed and power.

Most of our scientific advances started from academic research and then was picked up by industry. For profit businesses can't afford to invest in projects with uncertain ROI.
Agree the minority of funds that go towards fraud/waste/abuse are far outweighed by the benefits and lives saved from USAID investment.
