I ended up developing my own framework for moderation as a consequence getting banned or driven out of communities for not fitting as an adolescent. I wasn't aware at the time the strong undercurrent of ableism that quietly permeates throughout most communities that punishes neurodivergence for non-conformity. Leniency, Freedom of Speech and comprehensive rules became the core tenets for a community I created that had over two thousand five hundred people. I wanted to carve out a place for people like myself that have been done dirty elsewhere as a result of out and in-groups. @thisismissem@activitypub.space
