@Tanatoes All the gate solenoids in mine look something like this and they're originals. This has most likely happened over a very long time and most likely is a non-issue for home use where you'll turn it off anyway after you're done.

@retronom Yes, this was the exact issue. But since the mini playfield has to be removed, it'll get services fully. New lamps, grease etc.

Oh man, we do have a bit of stuff in the workshop!
