The filament buffer is now on the wall. This project continues as more of the drybox holders finish printing.

@wildrikku I can. That was the whole cool thing about it all.Snapmaker's own original slicer, Luban, was extremely spartan with anything tweakable. Now that I'm not forced to use it, I can finally have a lot saner experience.Snapmaker used a proprietary protocol for transfers and it was only recently when its firmware got Octoprint protocol support too. This is what they themselves use for their current era machines. They also have a bastardized version of Orca, that adds bugs and unnecessary model store, but I'm just fine with standard Orca.

While the rest is drying, I started assembling the engines. Tried to get the center cone swirl there too. In the background are the wheels, this model is wheels up so only the side of the landing gear is visible.I also started painting the engine cowlings with the livery color.

@rasterweb No shame whatsoever in that quality. Still works after a dozen-plus years! That's more than you can say about many commercial products these days.

@lorimolson After digging through the release notes, it wasn't just in my head. The new firmware gives it about 20% speed boost.

@Tydence Yes, as with all glow in the dark filaments. I murdered one brass nozzle with just couple of tiny prints with the eSun's glow in the dark stuff I have. On the other hand, the hardened Prusa nozzle cost like 25€, so it didn't exactly break the bank and I haven't had any negative effects from just leaving it on and using it like a brass one.

This was ultimately the best working setup with the filament spool. There's some tubing that goes through the shelf and the one below fits and open spool holder or a Polymaker box.
