@redcrew Thanks for asking, and I’m doing OK. Today has been a quiet day since the only thing we had to do after yesterday’s funeral was turn in the key for Dad’s condo unit, which we had already cleaned out. (We didn’t know how much time we would need here when we booked our flights.) Given how poorly I do with Florida heat I’m mostly just hanging out in my hotel room except for when we go out for lunch or dinner. And a relaxing day in my air conditioned hotel room is suiting me just fine.

The one piece of art my dad kept when he moved into his final home in 2012 was this sculpture I got for him and my stepmom (RIP). I love it, but I thought it belonged with a couple. My brother didn't like it, so we gave it to my dad's primary caregiver for the last three years or so. It makes me happy that it went to her. The piece was made by artist Steve Gootgeld.#Art

@cafechatnoir He definitely wasn’t into job hopping! But I didn’t have many employers, either: Ann Arbor Trust Company right out of college, and after moving to California there was Signetics, Memorex, and a long stint at HP/Agilent. Then 17 years of self-employment. Since I’m in my mid-seventies I’m probably right on the edge of that generational shift.
