@Nickiquote@mstdn.social Far too many people think we still live in the old world of that centralist tug-of-war, going slightly left and slightly right, back and forth, but ultimately just moving centrally, keeping the status quo, and there being little difference between the two. But we've hit a brick wall, and are at a T-junction. There is only far left or far right now. Unfortunately though, far too many people can't see that Reform are far right. They look at them the same as Conservatives, rather than the rebranding of the British National Party, which is exactly what they are. I've literally had people try to argue with me from a position that Reform aren't racist, or fascist, and that is just disinformation from the left. Chronic fucking brain dead stupidity.

@SecondUniverse@autistics.life The only thing 'social media' has done was to tell kids who are miserable due to their AGAB is that they can do something about it, instead of being self-hating and depressed. Cis people do not rush our to fill their bodies with hormones. Cass, and her ilk, would always rather see people suffer and die rather than thrive as trans people in order to uphold some weird bio-essentialist hierarchy where trans-ness is always the worst possible outcome in a child life. If I would have known I could get some relief in my teens by taking hormones, I would have done it in a second, and saved years of misery and multiple suicidal attempts.

@GeofCox @PoliceStateUK Interesting. From Labours point of view, it's easy to slate Reform, it's much more difficult to criticise The Green party. They're terrified by the Greens increasing popularity. They know many traditional Labour voters will switch.

@rhys Weren't the government also planning to build some new cities as part of trying to help solve some of the housing crisis the country has been in? That would be a great excuse to build a new facility able to suitably gather parlement, I haven't read the guardian article yet but that sounds like a hell of a lot of money and if the building is still in use and work is happening around business as usual I can only see that cost going up.

@jonah The courts will likely take VPN use as a compounding factor that showed clear and intentional acts to subvert justice and break the law. Using a VPN is also detectable, and would be like waving a flag that says, "hey, come check me out"
