          @civfanatics

For sure. If at first you don’t succeed, keep on sucking til you do succeed.

I think I legit found a bug in the PS5 game. I’m playing Blackbeard and I got to the exploration age and Settler was not a unit in my list. Can’t train, can’t buy, can’t even see it in the list as a unit that isn’t available. It’s literally not in the list. You can’t go far in the game if you can’t make settlers.

I took a bunch of screenshots and plan to post them on a forum later.

@paco I'm afraid you didn't check the pirate's special ability 😬 (pirates, not blackbeard):
"Settler Units cannot be trained or purchased, but you can capture other civilizations' Settlers" (the ability is longer)

@civfanatics Figures. I thought there might be something like that. Stuff that’s really unintuitive is usually me not understanding how it works. 😛 factories got me, too. They require an inventory space in the main inventory.

@Osito @paco I also had spent many years driving cars before I learned that the purpose of this arrow. And I didn't have my own car for a lot of that time, I would use rentals or rideshare cars, which makes it extra tragic I didn't know about the arrow 😂

@paco There are only few slots left in automobile museums for combustion cars, where fuel-junkies can enjoy time travel into their youth.

Not only did I not know who invented this or what it’s called, I never noticed it at all—could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I did!

                            “Moylan arrow.” valuable.

Never heard of it in a lifetime of driving.

The argument of unfamiliarity on a hire car nuts.

Any hire vehicle must be inspected for damage before moving it, noting where the filler cap is located part of that check.

@paco I live in a dense city, don't own a car, but rent them every now and then. So I use these arrows every time I put gas in a car.

@magsamond @paco It hasn't so far. My PHEV has the charging flap on left and a traditional fuel flap on the right. Arrow only for fuel, electricity you need to figure out for yourself.

@paco I have only ever owned cars with the fuel tank flap on the right, so I never even noticed there was an arrow until someone pointed it out to me.

@paco @briankrebs It took someone at a manufacturer to make such a small but perfect change and even get credit for it.

@magsamond @paco Back around 1960 there were several cars with the gas cap hidden behind the rear license plate.

@paco TIL: there's a tiny arrow next to the car's fuel gauge to indicate on which side of the car the fuel port is. It is named after its inventor, James Moylan who worked at Ford.

Until today I've only been aware of the existence of such an indicator through a false sort-of rumor that said that the fuel pump icon indicated this through the side on which the fuel nozzle was drawn.

Good to know the name of the well-intentioned person who made this happen.
