Potato chips flavors at my neighborhood corner store
- Nigerian chips with turmeric and nutmeg flavors
- Omani chips (my fave Chips Oman)
- Chinese potato chips (chilli crisp flavor)
- Taiwanese potato chips(beer flavor!)
- Thai potato chips (salted egg flavor)
- German potato chips (confusingly, KFC branded and KFC flavored)
- other chips of unknown origin but probably Chinese ish: black pepper crab instant noodle flavorI love ‘weird’ potato chip flavors. Passionately. I also don’t think vinegar should be in most chips / crisps except under very specific circumstances
@skinnylatte I do like to look for interesting chip flavours when I travel, though it's becoming easier to find them everywhere now too I guess.
Salt and vinegar is not my favourite but I'll eat it if I must. I guess the Canadian all dressed flavour is also somewhat vinegary.

@skinnylatte I, too, love weird potato chips flavors, but being Filipino/German/English/American, I especially love chip flavors with vinegar. All of my heritages use vinegar-heavy condiments.

@gcvsa I get that. Almost all my cuisines have almost no vinegar use (maybe lime instead)? I think I am okay with vinegary things with some depth, but find straight up white vinegar to be too overpowering. Some British vinegary chips are fine especially the malty ones

@skinnylatte I've always wondered why there are no German Potato Salad flavor chips in the US that I've ever seen (potato, onion, bacon, vinegar, sugar). I would think those would be a big hit.

@skinnylatte I took this photo of one of the vending machines on the ~commuter ferry from Horseshoe Bay (North Vancouver) to Langdale, BC (up the coast) because I was struck by the cultural diversity of offerings.
