@lashman i wonder if camera mode in death stranding will work for it or if they've caught onto that yet.

I was curious how this would affect the bridge bots but it seems like this is mostly for the stage feature right now so I'd assume they'll still work while discord applies this footgun. (my only real experience in discord in the past 5 years is through the matrix bridge)

@lashman Yes. I mean, as the article mentioned, they suffered a data breach last October. While they are now using a different vendor, how long until they leak? It’s such a massive unknown.

@Bara_Coded @lashman unfortunately with stoat they decided against any federation protocols,, it's very small and fragmented. It's much more of an alternative for mumble than discord.

@raptor85 @lashman indeed it is small, there aren't a lot of communities or users. I don't think it was developed with the capacity to integrate with the fediverse. Is there another, fediverse-based Discord alternative?

@CTD @lashman I think people purely picked the likes of Discord because they were the easy route. I too have been guilty of responding with GIFs… but I wonder if forums would be any different now if they returned en-masse.
