Few things are more confusing and potentially off-putting than something that's aspirational (class based) in a section of culture or society that you don't have much contact with at all or don't understand. -
I need university administrators (and probably some other people too, but definitely university administrators) to understand something: you cannot motivate your faculty to do more research or better teaching.@irene @ricci No that doesn't track. Some admin are FAR better teachers than many researchers are, but they haven't published enough papers to be given teaching positions, so they end up doing student support which they absolutely excel at but are paid half of what the researcher who shows up to class twice a term gets.

#Askfedi I have to use natural peanut butter but mix it is a real chore.@OhOkayKay I use a small whisk, less labourious than other utensils, but still work. I've never tried it but I wonder if one of those electric milk whiskers for cappuccinos would be up to the task?
