I turned off copilot but I still like AI writing my commit message. It's better then "Did stuff".

My 24 hour experiment with copilot is over. It does suggest some interesting completions but I spend too much mental energy seeing if it's right and it's a UI/hover mess that's too distracting.

I'm back to being 100% AI free.

That said, VSCode is a good c++ IDE, much better then I thought. Not as good as Xcode, but very workable. The thing I was looking for was break-points and stepping into code and it does it.

If I walk into a bar and order a drink I expect them to ask for ID to prove my age. If I walk into a McDonalds and buy a Big Mac I would not expect them to ask for ID to check my age and if they did I would not expect them to photocopy it and give it to Fred to keep in his poorly locked file cabinet.

The problem with ditching services like Discord or Google Docs or Dropbox isn't me, I'm happy to do it. It's everyones I need to work with. They aren't going to join my self-hosted service just to exchange work files or chat, etc. I've tried.

As a test, I renamed all the stb_ functions to ggstb_ and included it directly, and I'm still getting all zeros back, so I must be using it wrong.

I now have a pirate ship sailing around the sea (in 3D) under player control and feeling pretty pretty good. I now just need a game. I'm thinking something Sudoku based.

3D is 1D more fun than 2D and 9D more work.
