OK. But are the humans using windows? Because microsoft has never had a problem producing garbage slop even without AI, and shipping it to 99% of users.
Even T-1000's AI fuzzing will turn windows into an endless bonanza of zero days long before anyone can ask for a cupcake recipe.
@jwz Well, okay. Some of the jittery boundary-pushing and not wanting to go to bed is because of the amount they're paying for it each day.
In the light of the now generally-accepted fact it broadly works for coding, railing against it is cope with its own sell-by date.
In the end if its output can be made maintainable and passes Coverity and so on, it's now the default way forward. Whether people currently getting paid to use it are still there sucking down their money or not...
@jonsnow Gentle reminder it is possible to just not hand everything over about your computing to a US corporation that will take periodic screenshots and archive them under their control to be scanned by AI and remembered forever.
You can download a "Live" USB stick ISO image (eg https://fedoraproject.org/workstation/download ), put it on your stick using a tool like https://rufus.ie/en/ and boot from it, by default it runs from USB stick only and won't touch your hard disk unless you ask to install there.
