Trump, at core is still the guy in 1980s NY who knew that when bad press hit he could always call the NY Post (sometimes as John Barron) and get them to print something outlandish and change the subject.@SeanCasten Or his likely child rapes

Mad fantasy-fic idea: what if even death is no escape from the law, and contracts signed in life remain binding after shuffling off this mortal coil?@cstross While this idea is quite different, for some reason it reminded me of the Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. Series by Kevin J. Anderson, which I enjoyed quite a lot & wished there was more of.

Here's a little lidded jar I made.@APBBlue I love it

Today's SCOTUS decision makes it crystal clear that three justices will let Trump do literally anything he wants.@semiotic_pirate That's from 2025. Today's decision was that Trump tariffs were illegal. Should have been 9-0. @petergleick

Writing as a self-declared "Jewish atheist," Paul Waldman says,@msbellows @wdlindsy Congress members have almost entirely been or claimed to be christians throughout our history. Through a large portion of my lifetime though it wasn't considered a necessity to frequently talk about that in the context of doing the job, and would serve as a reminder of the vaunted separation of church and state. Since moving to AL where candidates are basically required to proclaim their devout christianity to have a chance, I've become very aware of this sort of talk as a foothold for lawmakers to wedge their religion into laws that govern everyone, and I'm extremely against it.
Given two candidates with policy platforms that are at least "good enough," I will choose the one who doesn't talk about religion.

misogynists who see women only as incubators hate VBACs : a vaginal birth after c-section is possible after waiting a few years to heal.@blogdiva My first grandchild was born via c-section and second one normal birth about 18 months later, no problems. My daughter was in the Army during those years and very fit.

#RIP Robert Duvall.@Karen5Lund Fascinating. So I guess that modern history course had like zero women taking it or they simply didn't care to complete the assignment

#RIP Robert Duvall."I love the smell of napalm in the morning... Smells like victory... Someday this war's gonna end." The amoral LTC Kilgore whose humanity, if he ever had it, was completely subsumed by the act of making war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE03Lqm3nbI

#RIP Robert Duvall.#RIP Robert Duvall. He was a military brat, his father was a Navy rear admiral, and he served 2 years Army enlisted before going into acting. His original role in Apocalypse Now was "Colonel Carnage" but he used his experience to tone the character down, which some viewers might find surprising considering LTC Kilgore was still a bit extreme, but played authentically. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/robert-duvall-dead-godfather-apocalypse-now-1236506861/

I think I've deduced the reason for my sporadic shortness of breath (SOB) for the past couple of years: iron deficiency.I think I've deduced the reason for my sporadic shortness of breath (SOB) for the past couple of years: iron deficiency. I've taken famotidine for a long time due to GERD, sometimes I try to stop taking it and eventually the GERD comes back. And the SOB comes and goes...perhaps in a lagging relationship with the famotidine use (?) but I don't have the data to confirm that. Well recently I was pretty frustrated with the SOB and my doc had no ideas. I almost went to see a cardiologist but I canx the appt after I kept digging for the most simple answer and came up with iron deficiency, which has variously been associated with both acid reducers and shortness of breath. I started taking an iron supplement daily, maybe 3 weeks ago? And my breathing now is FINE. After 2 years of off & on SOB I think I cracked the case. I have a checkup in April and will be pleased to report the end of this long term issue. #medicine #health

Well, everyone, you can now submit a comment to let the FCC know what you think about SpaceX asking for 1 million satellites for "AI datacenters" whatever the fuck that means.@sundogplanets Maybe that's what it's going to take to teach the world and especially the U.S. that the billionaires should have been loaded onto a rocket and shot right into the fucking sun
