immich has superceded google photos for me.
google doesn't support drive desktop app on linux so their sync fabric is no longer of use.
I'm wanting to disassociate from US based big tech.

then maybe try out object store with catalyst cloud.
I'll need to hone down to just the essentials for backups but that's fine.
i have a NAS for backups and a blu-ray 5 1/2 drive sitting here in box.

I have till 8 feb to extricate myself from google for email and storage. Or else it renews for another year.
