@bnys @mttaggart Yep, when you add the Transphobic pieces a few year back and Aurich moderation that tends to let the polite fascist slide while banning people calling out fascist, they lost my sub, which Siracusa had earned them.

What's going on here? -
If you're interested in funding or helping us find funding for a Discord replacement that's federated and end-to-end encrypted, we're interested in implementing that at @spritely ... we even had been talking about that being our big focus for 2026.@ekaitz_zarraga @cwebber @spritely Discord is like slack for gamers, and better than slack, including audio and video calls and streams.
And what is going on. Since a large array of country have enacted are are in the process of enacting age verification laws, they are rolling out age verification globally.
And that's after one of their partner for UK age-verification leaked a large stash of IDs.

I might consider forking a little bit of money (on the magnitude of 5€/month), but I'm no big fish and my pockets are already a bit drained.

#QuestionOfTheDay What's something (a trope, plot point, character type, twist, technology, magic, decision, conceit of the genre/world, whatever) in fiction that you just can't buy.@ami_angelwings

(I have absolutely not posted anything about a new ending to Turandot that eliminates this trope recently, I swear)

Weird questions for the trans folk:@FinalGirl Were you a professional soldier before you transitioned ? Or even after ?
Or just a conscript who wasn’t really there by choice ?And I hope you can find your woman music voice and enjoy yourself again in music.
(I wonder if a girl band, with different instruments and style could help reset ?)

Transmitting Everything You Say@solitha @davidrevoy @RandomDamage @lazy Well fair, there’s a question of how long do wizard and witch live and how do they age.
I’m relating with human aging. (And Ars Magica wizard âgé slower than their peers starting around 30, but they do get to the 35 apparent age usually, and don’t usually live more than 250 (to be compared with the 50-60 reached by non wizards))

Though, re-checking all the story, the goth witch looks too young for a post-doc, and also her relation to the info provided by the parrot is really what you might expect from a bachelor or master student, but not someone with a PhD under her belt. A fortiori a permanent researcher would have the ability to check a good chunk of the parrot nonsense, and avoid incinerating herself.
So my personal take, given what we have now could be a witch at the beginning of her PhD, or in her Master's (since she's getting a bit more assertive). A PhD student is a lot closer to faculties and could well be invited for the new year party she's in.
