Conservatives have a very low bar for diplomatic success if bringing a msg back from Trump claiming he loves Canadians is a major diplomatic achievement. (never mind the fact that a vast majority of Canadians know Trump is lying through his teeth) #cdnpoli #uspol

Not exactly good foreshadowing that a CUSMA/USMCA free trade deal will be revised next year.. or if it is, the Americans will try to keep tariffs on certain sectors, in which case it isnt really a free trade agreement anymore. Hence the PM's urgency in diversifying trade.
