Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 802 , Wednesday 07/01/2026

Wednesday started early, around 7am.

After breakfast I put on my suit, something I haven't done since 2019 & it showed in the fact that it took several attempts to get my tie to the right length.

We got to my MiL's house in good time & the Weather Witches smiled on us giving us a day that was very cold but very sunny with blue skies.

The funeral service was beautiful, Kevin, the vicar, gave a perfect eulogy for Gloria and everything went to plan.

He read out my poem ‘Guardians’ & did it proud, he was right it suited the occasion well.

We went out for lunch afterwards, stopping at a pub I've not been to for many years where we enjoyed a delicious meal.

We hid away from the world this afternoon, just taking comfort in each other’s company.

Final Thoughts.

As Kevin said, the jigsaw puzzle of my late Mother in Law, Gloria, is now complete & we will remember her forever.

Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 800 , Monday 05/01/2026

Monday started at just past 7am, as we return to a more normal week.

Chores took up the first half of the day then I spent the afternoon agonising over what game to play on the PS5.
I go thru these periods when nothing I normally like ticks the box & I have to look for something new.

I tried ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’, but couldn’t get on with the turn based combat - I may well return to it at a later date though.

Gonna try ‘Kingdom Come:Deliverance 2’ because there are any number of excellent reviews for it. Lets see if it tickles my fancy.

We had a takeaway for tea but I didn’t really enjoy it. A return to more basic foods won’t do me any harm though.

Final Thoughts.

I think I’m struggling a little again with being overwhelmed. Prolly why I’m struggling to concentrate & do the things I normally love.
