Mrs Defrenne was only told late in life that her name is synonymous with equal pay, apparently her labor union took care of everything -- Unlike Mrs Marckx who petitioned the ECtHR on behalf of her baby with the immortal words "Je suis un bébé de dix mois et je porte plainte contra la Belgique" (equal treatment of kids in or out of marriage)
