Our intro:
Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?@bikenite @ascentale A1: Upper Peninsula of Michigan, US. Today my freewheel skipped a bit, probably because of some water (then ice) inside blocking the pawls. This weekend I'll take it apart and relube. #BikeNite

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A1: Posting from Alameda, CA
I rebuilt the rear wheel on my #Brompton yesterday, it had reached the end of its lifespan and it was breaking spokes one after another, so I figured I’d do them all in one go. It was full of false starts and small mistakes, but it’s done and I’m optimistic

A1.
Posting from Arden, Ontario, a tiny village on the Trans Canada Trail.
Nothing new bike-wise, it's very winter here right now so the trail is snowmobile territory and the bikes are in storage. Counting down to springtime, though!

@ascentale @bikenite A1. Posting from the western front of Portland OR, where we are besieged by the clear blue sky and bright sunshine of a false spring.
I tuned my own derailleur for the first time recently, and not only did I do it right, I managed to get the chain to stop slipping in high gear, so I can once again use all nine gears.
#bikeNite@yantor3d @ascentale @bikenite yay!
that's something I found gets easier with just doing it more often too, first couple of times I tried it I was all "...thumbs?" but now I'm like "oooooh okay, I think I'm getting this." Not up to _confident_ yet, but.

@moira @ascentale @bikenite Practice makes permanent...
I'm amused by my bike stand. It's a benchtop repair stand, but because I'm allergic to permanence, it's screwed to a scrap of plywood that I clamp to my workbench

#bikenite A1:
I'm posting from home in Rochester Minnesota.
There's nothing really new with my bikes, but I did ride today without needing studded tires for the first time in over three weeks due to a thaw overnight. -

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?@ascentale @bikenite A1. Northern Virginia as always, where biking is off the table while the streets are lined with what they are calling “snowcrete.” #BikeNite
-
@ascentale @bikenite A1: from the tarmac at DCA. I’ve been in DC all week for work so no biking for me even if I wanted to bike share since there’s frozen ice covering everything out here! #Bikenite
@genex @ascentale @bikenite That’s it! That’s the Snowcrete.
-
@ascentale @bikenite A1: North King County like usual. Nothing really new with my bike this week, but I did get tossed by that stupid F***ING curb gap that I always take perpendicular to avoid being tossed by it but NOT THIS TIME, APPARENTLY
(i am fine. i have a bandaid on my left pointer finger. It doesn't even hurt.)
@moira "always" except this one time

Glad to hear it's mostly a pride injury.
-
@ascentale @bikenite A1 #BikeNight Naarm, and well, this is what's new with my bike

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?A1. Indoors in Tokyo. Snow in the forecast -- most likely just a smattering, but the worry is the possibility of streets freezing overnight.
Following a bit of tuning up and a short ride last weekend, both bikes are out of the Workshop in the Sky and back in the underground parking for the first time in a couple of months.

@ascentale @bikenite Just brought in some beer from the Workshop in the Sky so it can warm up in the refrigerator ...
-
@cainmark @ascentale @bikenite yeh
i was kinda finger-bleeding all the way home and it'll be bandaged for a bit, but otherwise I'm fine. ^_^

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?@ascentale @bikenite A1 Posting from Waterloo, ON as usual. It was a balmy -3°C today, and going down to -22°C over the weekend 🥶. Just got a second studded tire for my rear wheel: it makes a big difference!

Q1. Where are you posting from today? What's new with your bike/cycle?@ascentale @bikenite a1. From my usual Seattle. Not much new except I washed my commuter/utility cycle, and put on newly waxed chains on both my road cycles. Been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather with some nice rides around town.
