@jdelacueva @EUCommission Similarly, that banks can deny you service because you're using a non-Google-approved system (instead of a wildly more insecure chinesium Android that was abandoned 5 years ago, which is magically still okay to use somehow), is an absolute disgrace and just really shouldn't be a thing.
@phl @jdelacueva @EUCommission *nods in GrapheneOS*

Yeah, I got the same issue running #grapheneOS
My phone is more secure than the mainstream trash, but #banksters don't recognise it because they don't have a periscope up my arse.From what I understand, a workaround is to create a new user and install Google Play Services and this app just for that user. Then just switch between that user and your normal one.
When you switch back to your normal user, Google Play Services and everything else the other user has installed will stop running completely.

Actions speak louder than words.
I am unable to install EU Login app in my phone because I use LineageOS and not the Google Spy Android.
Thus, I cannot use the double factor authentication, mandatory from the 25-02-2026 on unless I tell Google.
A frontal attack to our #privacy.
Stupid, no?
You mean you're unwilling to hand your personal information to oligarchs to increase their wealth for the privilege of using a communications network which they don't own and which your government mandates?
What nerve!

@GOKUSHRM been doing something like that. Was hoping to get away from it. But might have to keep doing it.
But thats for the help. I forget about the other de-googled options.
@Scofisticated @GOKUSHRM
I spent months and months trying to square the circle and ended up with a Pixel running Graphene as personal phone, and a cheap Samsung that's just a Teams + Authenticator + InTune solution...
I'm actually very happy and realising it reduces some other headaches I hadn't noticed, plus future proofs me against the corpo bullshit getting worse. -

@Scofisticated until u/we find proper solution for this issue, keep 2 phone's and use separately for personal & professional work.. Or change ur work that doesn't need ms teams (joking

@Scofisticated am still at stock rom but without any google apps except google play service app (not updated & no internet connection). I also delete all my inbuilt apps like phone calculator clock weather message files music video player camera browser and replaced all with Foss apps. So zero corporate shit. I don't use any banking apps, I go to my bank and do things manually. That's how I keep my life easy and private (99%)

@IvanSanchez @jdelacueva @EUCommission
Wait I thought the EU was trying to separate itself from US tech, that is what all their politicians are saying……….oh wait I see My error now.
@greatlaketrout @IvanSanchez @jdelacueva @EUCommission
Come on, they only decided that last year! You can't expect them to have actually done anything about it yet. -
