If these would be to retreat from European markets it could cripple TasP and prevention efforts.

@energisch_ I've not the slightest idea whether it's even possible to buy enough in advance to provide currently treated and any surplus which may come on top after diagnosis. Especially in light of rising infection rates globally due to war and other socioeconomic factors. What's definitely at risk are treatment options. One does not tolerate each available regimen and some got resistant virus in their DNA, so already have limited options. Need production long term.

@bert_hubert It's complicated. Those are all non-govt assets, meaning the US govt would have to somehow persuade those companies to comply, which might be difficult. That said, it's just prudent for countries to divest from US dependence if they can, to the extent they can. Nearly all these services are mostly just server farms, which anyone of means can build. In the short term, it might require temporarily repurposing existing domestic resources while new ones are built.
