@sashag I don't understand why resisters aren't already using that equipment & if they don't want to carry a gun, for the love of god, buy pepper spray & bear spray. Buy spray paint & cover ICE vehicles. Use objects to flatten tires, bats to break windows. There's no reason to be unarmed or unprotected. Who made the rule that only fascists are allowed weapons? Civil disobedience isn't something to be considered, it should be the standard. We shouldn't be afraid of civil war. We should embrace it

@sashag And it would be a terrible shame if all of these actions make it impossible for the goons to kidnap and/or terrorize people.

Some police switched to encrypted digital radios and are hard to listen to on scanners.
Shakes fist at local police department.

@sashag It would be a shame as the GOP would use it to end Right to Repair your own home. Not like the evil monsters haven't criminalized bottles of drinking water already. Did you know they can arrest you for a 'drug paraphernalia' or 'aiding illegal immigrants' in some of the redhole states for having and/or distributing WATER.
What'd be REALLY great if people would be proactive rather than reactive and paid attention before things got this bad.

@sashag And for further down the road, just for a thought experiment. In the majority of states it is not illegal to Carry either concealed or open at your Voting place. Check your local laws. With all the folks with ideas about stolen elections we may need to go to the Polls Armed . . Just a thought and watch out for those states that are trying to stop those laws. https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/blog/guns-and-polling-places/

@gdinwiddie @sashag agreed. And in all but the most rural areas, the police have moved to encrypted digital trunking systems instead of analog radios, so scanners aren't very useful.
The first half of the advice about PPD and buckets to contain smoke grenades is

You'd need something like a Baofeng UV-5R. Also, compared to the Signal Protocol, radio encryption sucks and relies on the "tone" of a radio so it's easier to crack. Not "easy to crack," "easier to crack." -

@alienghic @sashag
Get a Baofeng UV-5R, either load DragonOS on a LiveUSB stick or just download Chirp, connect the Baofeng to your computer, go through each tone on your local police department's frequency, and maybe you'll get lucky. -

At some point we will have lost any chance of regaining our democracy. It's something to ponder it maybe necessary. I've already fought for my country once. I don't think we have the patience of Gandhi. If you will recall MLK was not alone, there was a backdrop ready to react to violence with violence, Malcolm X. Between outrage and fear he became the voice of freedom. We have already heard from the Panthers. The people who created this nation fought a revolution. -

2/2 These people have shown us that they are more than willing to use fear, terror and death to get what they believe is their right, one even thinks he is some kind of deity & by the divine rights of kings he accepts that mantle. As we've seen he is not smart enough to follow even someone like Sun Tzu and has taken guidance from the Nazi's and is following his own Blitzkrieg, in order to succeed they have to move quickly. We may have to respond quickly. Peace -

@sashag When Belarusians were trying to deal with their government, Жадан і Собаки released a clip for their song Автозак (paddy wagon) with Belarusian subtitles written by a Belarusian poet Andrei Khadanovich. A reminiscence of sorts about Maidan protests.
Might be the time for a new set of subtitles, now in English. But lacking that, https://lyricstranslate.com/en/avtozak-paddy-wagon.html would suffice.

@obscurestar @sashag years ago I said the way to defeat that is get all the water blessed by a priest, deem it "holy water" making it a violation of your religious freedom to prevent you from handing it out.
They do wanna couch all their asinine acts in "religious freedom," right?

Dear, I'm slightly older than igneous rock. I know the face of war up close and personal and have carried it with me for the last 58 years. No, I don't Want to shoot anyone. I have been talking about what the GOP wants since the 70's and they finally got what they were after. I have tried to tell people what djt has wanted since 2015. Had all the bozo's and bozzett's who allowed him to get power a second time paid attention we wouldn't be here. They don't follow laws. -

I can imagine the look on your face if you have to walk past armed men in uniform to vote, if you can even do it (that's not a hit on you just fact). "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic" the oath I swore to then and still hold dear now. I'm not beating the drum for violence but trying to get across what we May need to do, and what is still within the law. -

I don't have to fantasize, it's someplace between absolute boredom and sheer terror. Any Vet will tell you the same, we are far more against wars then most folks you know. But sometimes it becomes necessary to put yourself in a place that requires action. Like I said I swore an Oath. . . Humanity is not truly Humane, that is a thin veneer most of us try to maintain as the better way to live. Look at Gaza, Sudan . . . Where is the hew and cry over closing USaid. Peace -

@the_turtle @sashag Maybe, though Trump's ICE has been ignoring the 'Sanctuary' of the church. Also, it'd still be a scene-killer for goth raves.

@sashag This meme has been floating around for a couple of weeks.
IT IS MOST CERTAINLY HUMOR! I just hope it doesn't get someone hurt.
Govt and police communication is nearly 100% encrypted and what isn't, is hidden by the use of numerical codes 10/4 for example. Additionally scanners do NOT transmit, they receive. Having been a ham for 68 years, I have never seen a scanner that transmits.
This post is BS and should be removed!

The Black Panthers made it work until Ronald Reagan passed some of the strictest gun laws in the country to stop them.
