60 years old
Had an internet startup in 1994-96 doing dial up, then selling fractional T1s and fell into web design (ugly, bad) and helped on first websites for Pete's Wicked Ale, Sunkist (survey boy!), Disney, Orange County Register. Lived through the Pentium FDIV bug while trying to learn kernel compile and Tumpet Winsock. Usenet!My first meaningful online community was radioparadise.com.

I have always loved to hear the tales of the pioneers of the web and computing, the weird optimization tricks, all the wisdom acquired in trying to make things work before git was even a thing. Thanks in advance for those !

Gotta admit the feeling I got first time I joined the fediverse was similar to those first steps on the world wide web... Could you believe all websites had a specific "links" page referencing other websites with cool related stuff ?

@anathexyz I remember the day mosaic came out standing in the CSUC computer lab on a nettrek break and hearing someone say, so this FTP, gopher, Archie with a gui? Cool.
