#Welcome @shoujocafelover! You seem to be off to a pretty good start. Follow hashtags relevant to your interests, follow people who post things you want to see more of, and interact with people. With Mastodon and Fedi you're in charge of your own feed, instead of getting it algorithmically fed to you; that can be a bit of a culture shock initially, but it does mean that everything that ends up in your feed is there because of a choice *you* made and can change, which is incredibly empowering!

@JohanDiederik thankfully I don't drive in the city so traffic doesn't worry me! We have mostly functioning public transport, and I work from home most Fridays It is sunny but cold, and clouding over for some sleet (rain/snow) over the coming days. Icy!
