@Em0nM4stodon Done, thanks! Added a point that truly bad actors can just encrypt locally with PGP. Encryption backdoors only harm the privacy of ordinary people relying on the off-the-shelf encryption tools.
@chris @avilewis Canadians can't vote for a PM though unless they are in the right five ridings. All we can do is vote for the best MP in our riding, then push them to remember that they run the country and the PM is their servant not their boss.
@pinhman @chris FYI this tool (and others based on whisper) are just local packaging of the same types of models making all the mistakes in medical transcription. (Whisper was made by OpenAI). It's certainly better for privacy than sending it to one of the big genai providers, but it has the same issues with accuracy that make it inappropriate for medical transcription.
