@GNUmatic @alice and I'm sad I've got this far without anyone mentioning the exploitation of workers in the global South who made these 'tools' happen, for a pittance, who now suffer serious mental consequences.Just so Jack and Claire can ask for a travel itinerary now they lack friends (because they're all sick of their 'my pet in the 1950s' slop).There is no ethical use for big tech's genAI.Small machine learning applications have been around for years and shouldn't be going anywhere.If we're going to call all of it 'AI' that is part of the issue. We need more clarity.And #genAIslop can all get in the bin.
