How do we live in a world where AI is the SOLE determiner of aged care?

THIS after previous controversies over automated decision-making tools being used by the government, including robodebt welfare scandal, & concerns about algorithm-driven disability funding through the NDIS?

“Aged care clinicians & carers say the new care assessment tool (IAT) - an algorithm-based assessment - that determines federal home support funding packages is “cruel” & “inhumane”, stripping away clinical expertise & leaving elderly people with inadequate support.”
    #ai
So the alleged new jobs in healthcare and social services, supposedly safe, unlike all the other jobs that AI is removing, will not materialise. They are doing everything possible to eliminate the need for people across all sectors.
