I planned spending today at a hospital, and plan to repeat this three more times this year. Naturally, being part of a huge hospital corporation, it runs on procedures, sometimes problematic. People too, of course, sometimes problematic, as the US is driven into increasngly severe shortages of medical personnel. I survived the treatment, though, encountering only 4-5 screwups (ranging from inadequate --that was the doorbell?!--labeling to a pharmacy blooper). -
