NEW | Hamas: Any Political Path on Gaza Must Begin With Ending Israeli Aggression and Lifting the Blockade
In a press statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, commented on the convening of a special session of the “Board of Peace” on Gaza in the United States, stressing that any political track or arrangements concerning the Gaza Strip and the future of the Palestinian people must begin with a complete halt to the aggression, the lifting of the blockade, and the guarantee of Palestinians’ legitimate national rights.
Hamas stated that holding the session while Israeli crimes and ongoing ceasefire violations continue places a direct responsibility on the international community and participating parties to take concrete steps to compel the occupation to end its attacks, open crossings, allow unrestricted humanitarian aid, and immediately begin reconstruction.
The movement also called on international actors and mediators to uphold their commitments, ensure the implementation of agreed-upon terms, prevent Israel from obstructing humanitarian and political obligations, and work seriously toward securing a permanent ceasefire.
