This is evolution, sadly. Unfit parents do not tend to have children that survive to reproduce. Horrible, but that's the default, and has been since life began.
The alternative is a society that decides for you how to raise your children and live your life. Given some of the recent decisions I've seen the government make, that's also horrible.
You can't fix other people. You can only fix yourself. Be the change you want to see.
