ImpColl make a reasonable point about the meaning of "Emeritus" considering which might cause rephrasing of the above.#SciFi : #JackVance in his novel #TheLanguagesOfPao introduces a somewhat different use of emeritus as the description for academics - "Breakness Dominies" - whose enthusiasm for their subject has segued into madness.
Good book, mentioned to point out that emeritus does not indicate membership and representation of an organisation.
