A quick #MedMastodon update for folks on the instance:

I've been trying to get the domain transferred from the previous owner Nick over to myself, which is a requirement for me to be able to actually run the instance in the longer term. Unfortunately despite e-mails from me to him on the 5th Jan, 9th Jan and 14th Jan as well as a DM on twitter on 22nd Jan I've still had no response back and the domain is still not transferred.

I'm hoping to be able to slightly reduce our costs for the next monthly hosting renewal and I'm going to look to setup a new instance on a different domain with some easy migration (Hopefully including folks post history as well if I can do it right).

I will also post an announcement on the Med-Mastodon instance with valid invite links for both MastodonApp.UK and Universeodon.com if folks would like to move across.

If things change and I am able to take ownership of the domain then of course the instance will remain operational as-is.
