@ascentale @bikenite We saw some great yard signs last Sunday at the home of Ken and Anna Thomsen in Monterey. They are the parents of our friend Laurel Thomsen, who has donated some songs for Bicycling Monterey videos, including βItβs a New Day.β

And our last question of the week: -
And our last question of the week:@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A8 We saw this beach firsthand for the first time in an embarrassingly long time! Friends and family who are landlocked are usually surprised we donβt get on the beach more.
We love walking barefoot in the water! And every time we do, and experience again what good medicine that is, weβre reminded to do it more oftenβas we used to.
What made us stop that formerly frequent habit? We were knocked down on 3 separate occasions by off-leash dogsβon this beach where leashes are required. The dog owners were not at all apologetic or caring.
Third time caused an injury that put a halt to our beach walks for a long time. In contrast, weβve never been knocked down by a dog while biking.
We do like dogs and have owned and dearly loved several. We just donβt like irresponsible dog owners.

@realSiegfried and @MarkBrigham mentioned a question by @Trailanderror@ascentale @realSiegfried @MarkBrigham @Trailanderror @bikenite #BikeNite #A5 Simply a person who bikes.
Very quickly after we began devoting ourselves to bike advocacy, in 2009, we saw the value in referring to βpeople who bikeβ rather than cyclists or bicyclists.
Although we occasionally still use one of the latter terms, e.g., for word count or similar reasons, we make a conscious effort not to.

@younata asks:@ascentale @younata @bikenite #BikeNite #A4 Perhaps @NoRomBasic, CIO of Monterey-Salinas Transit, would have input about this.
