I think that’s my challenge. I listen to things on Bandcamp when I can, and buy albums there, but sometimes I hit a limit on streaming an album or I just can’t get the app to cooperate with apple carplay very well when driving. So would love better options than Spotify!

@tillybridges it’s actually kind of amazing how little those people internalized of so much of our cultural lessons. Like, even Harley Quinn gets out her hammer and starts swinging when she encounters neo-nazis and fascist…and there’s that one time she time traveled and attempted to kill Hitler too…point being: all the cool characters hate fascists.

@FinalGirl on a different thing, but accessing the languages I know can be like this at times. My summer trip in Japan last year was helpful in reseting my Japanese, but I still had dysphoric moments and times when I felt not fully aligned within myself. Japan was the first place I lived where I found a masculinity that wasn’t intolerable for me to embody, so it was mapped all over a bunch of my experiences and skills built there.

@therivercrow to be fair in a way, almost all the corporate social media tracks this at least indirectly (still hilarious when they started advertising trans color thigh high socks to me )…so, really just as bad as the others. I suspect they were probably tracking this before within their algorithms too though, weren’t they?
