The most interesting thing I saw that I photographed this week is a flock of Purple Finches on my outdoor pizza oven on my deck. The oven had a vinyl cover and snow on top of it and the finches were eating the snow.

Out of control, off-leash dogs are my cycling nemesis, having been knocked off my bike once and bitten multiple times, once rather badly. I've found that verbally confronting the owners ALWAYS ends badly. They don't care and rules don't apply to them.
One the other hand, the majority of dog owners with their dogs off leash on our city trails (despite our local ordinance) have instant verbal control and the dog at heel on command. -

That is confusing even to native English speakers. In college I once had a conversation with the new guy in the dorm about "bikes" for at least 5 minutes before I realized that to him a "bike" was a motorcycle and to me it was a bicycle. -

#bikenite That's a problem here as well and our state bike advocacy group has a legislative agenda initiative to legally define e-motos, so e-bikes are protected against regulations intended for the former. But our advocacy day at the Minnesota Capitol was cancelled due to safety concerns with the DHS/ICE occupation here. -

#bikenite I think if I was going to have a self deprecating salutation, it would be "old fart on a bike." -

Daily, I take "bike lean" photos. Since last September, the occasional photo on my otherwise trusty phone would be out of focus. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, or had the phone camera app settings wrong. I finally figured out that the wide angle/macro lens on my phone was defective. I got a replacement phone yesterday and today's wide angle photo was in focus. Yay! -

My Ortlieb urban pannier seems to meet most of that criteria. -

It depends on the circumstances. When someone is asking the question as if they want to know my profession, rather than saying I'm retired, I say that I am a " full-time recreational cyclist."
In an advocacy role I am a person who travels via a bicycle. I sometimes get called an "avid cyclist" (most recently by the local press) but avoid that if I can. -

I'm posting from home in Rochester Minnesota.
There's nothing really new with my bikes, but I did ride today without needing studded tires for the first time in over three weeks due to a thaw overnight.
