Thank you Wired magazine for not paywalling this(!) it's the only reason i even found out that ICE plans to lease an office in Tukwila, WA. -
BREAKING: Judge blocks Hegseth effort to punish Sen. Kelly.@chrisgeidner "You don't need to be a weatherman to see which way the wind blows."
Class!
Maybe he's getting a little homesick for the underground?

This is genuinely important and good news: as I expected, no British jury is going to convict #PalestineAction activists of non-violent protest. This is genuinely important and good news: as I expected, no British jury is going to convict #PalestineAction activists of non-violent protest.
Of course, this is why the UK government is trying to get rid of jury trials, but ...
Will the proscription of Palestine Action as a 'terrorist organisation'(!) also fall?

BOOST OR QUOTE THIS!@meganmariehart I see it. But I boost or quote only things which have value.

Listening to Elvis Costello's "Tramp the Dirt Down" this morning; his late-80s fantasy of stomping on the grave of Margaret Thatcher.@evan You can, however, dance on it.

Clare and I went on an impromptu tour of London infrastructure today after unexpectedly ending up at Dishoom Canary Wharf due to a power cut at the Kensington branch.> have sworn never to return to the city as its post-Thatcher progressiveness offends their conservatism
Ouch. Much sympathy.
I'm also London born and will never return -- but that has more to do with #Autism and severe discomfort in overcrowded spaces.

I have a question for a niche group of people.@eLearningTechie The thing about Open Source software is that if it doesn't do what you want, you can extend it to do what you want -- but you may need to learn a lot more about it than you really wanted to!
Still, it was a hugely fun project, and a really useful tool.

I have a question for a niche group of people.@eLearningTechie @david_chisnall I also use Inkscape for all my vector drawing stuff, but, to be honest, it's mainly technical rather than artistic.
Having said that, I have used Inkscape to create animated graphics, and even (for a past employer) created a palette of animated components which could be dragged and dropped into Inkscape drawings.

I have a question for a niche group of people.@eclectech I've done some animation of SVG using JavaScript and later #ClojureScript (for interactive electricity grid display diagrams). The technique works but it's very geeky and pretty niche.
(The original diagrams were drawn using Inkscape, and we created a palette of active components you could add into Inkscape drawings)
There's a demo here which shows the concept:

Unless you're comfortable with writing software this is not the right technique for you.

A coward who won't stand up for anyone.@Lazarou The Sudetenland wasn't in the UK either. The UK has a long and honourable tradition of giving away chunks of other people's countries to appease fascists.

Is there a way to set recurring tasks (daily, every Wednesday etc) in #NextCloud tasks?@afewbugs Aye, indeed.
And so have all of us.
Any male person denying this observation is being dishonest with someone, quite likely starting with himself.
