@chimpchomp If the house/apartment is already connected to the telco, then in general there will be an account activation fee or setup fee or whatever they want to call it. If you're moving service from somewhere else with the same company, you may be able to get them to waive that fee.If there are currently no wires/fiber to the premises in question, you'll probably have to pay a significant amount, but this will vary from place to place - the provinces regulate a lot of this stuff, so it wouldn't surprise me to find it was completely different between any two provinces.
