In London, covid beds are back up to the level they were at at New Year.There's a lot of non-reporting boroughs, but hopefully enough for people to be able to triangulate & assess their local risk.2/9

@augieray 7th year of the pandemic, and finally people are realizing it is best to don a mask and take precautions rather than risk an acute illness that could easily side swipe chances for an Olympic medal (and their future sporting career). It boggles my mind how people don't mind gambling their health away after working so hard.

Flu activity is moderate to high across much of the Northeast, with steady declines over the past few weeks. Outpatient influenza-like illness (ILI) for the region decreased to around 3.9%, and emergency department (ED) visits decreased to ~2.5%.Every state reported decreases in outpatient ILI this past week, and all states reporting stable or declining ED rates.
