I'm about 10 hours into it, 31%. I expect to get to 50% before I lose my loan and will put on hold again. Then I'll transition to my local hard copy and continue. Thus far, the book echoes my reading of other books about US history. It is a tapestry of pure brutality. A story of lies upon lies told by rulers to the subjugated. It is story upon story of a country that is far from honorable, but the exact opposite. Pre 1776 and post 1776 is not something to celebrate.The US is criminality.

Just look at what just happened to Mark Kelly. Hegseth demoted Kelly, put a permanent censure in his record, and reduced his military pension, all because Kelly appeared in a viral video telling soldiers not to obey unlawful orders.It was brave and courageous for Kelly to step up and do the right thing even though he doubtlessly knew he was putting himself at risk of something like this.Most soldiers aren't in the position to do that. @ned The world is watching what the congress and senate in the US will do or not do. But I predict that at the end of the day, this will not end well for the US.
