@JosephMeyer There aren't really any independent physicians anymore except concierge practices. Insurers won't pay doctors they can't control.

@kkarhan I think moving from fee-for-service and toward a value-based payment system and decreasing panel sizes would reduce the burden on PCPs. They could probably open up more availability to see urgent visits. As a primary care physician, I want to be able to see patients I know to provide comprehensive care.
