Last year saw more than 1,000 cases and in 2024, there were 3,600. Vaccination rates are also below the 95% required to achieve herd immunity. Here's more from @BBCNews.

      Note that the WHO designation rests on locally-acquired transmission.

      Trump has been using the excuse that immigrants are to blame for the lousy numbers in the US, which is a lie as they don't include immigrant-originated transmission numbers.

      Beware your politicians trying the same trick.
