Other than backing up old data, any recommendations after #MedMastodon instance is now up and running (for the next month at least) after being down and almost out to pasture on how to post after setting up a new profile on a different server?

Do I post on both now or return to just med-mastodon and save the other one as backup? I tried to follow who I thought I was following before, but my newer instance seems to have more posts now. What are other people doing with 2 accounts?

@huskify I'm no expert but it probably depends on how confident or not you are in the continuance of Med? I would be downloading all my followers and following lists and uploading to the new instance, thus making the migration. Good luck

@elperronegro @huskify Good advice! I was on another instance that went down and never came back. So… I lost everything - from who I followed to posts, etc. Big Bummer. While Rosie and Susie found lots of doggo friends, I was never able to find many of the people I followed. In the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t a big deal. But it was a huge annoyance to have to start over.
