Don't say that! It's the only thing that makes avoiding the sucrose/fructose killer pair a godsend. I did read that its cousin, Erythritol, was the culprit. Will have to deep dive the research again.

After a quick read, I note further research is imperative to confirm the implication. Which doesn't negate the suspicion. It also occurs that possibly those with cardio-vascular issues are more likely to be taking artificial sweeteners.
I take it (in moderation) to try to allay gum disease caused by sucrose-laden foods. Which it seems to, as the theory describes.
Fortunately I'm not a big user of sweeteners overall.
In conclusion, sigh.
