    @mort If they are going to be spreading -- what would be --easily managed communicable disease. Good, let them go to shit private religious schools. Let those asshats have single digit graduation cohorts and stay the hell away from my kids.

      @smurthys It is less than the 6-8 hours in a cramped room. Also the unvaxxed kids don't get to play too much they are often sick or dead

        @Zumbador @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon also immunocompromised kids who cannot have vaccines also exist, and this poll's wording also includes them.

          @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon It’s no different than leaving a child in a hot car while shopping. Folks are in jail for that.

            @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon we should just go back to the old system of ostracism. Public school requires vaccination -- no poke, no learn. That kept vaccination numbers high.

              @bpolitte @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon That's ok, the double punishment wouldn't be for long. Unvaxxed kids tend to not make to 7 years old.

              Also we punish children all the time for their parents. Ever grow up poor?

                  @bpolitte I'm not going to feel sorry for a group of people -- who knowingly do stupid things that are dangerous to everyone-- when the consequences of those actions happen.

                  I also don't feel bad for people who punch themselves in face when they break their own nose.

                    @fiend_unpleasant I don't feel sorry for them either, and I certainly don't advocate having a bunch of unvaccinated kids in schools. Though ostracizing them won't help society in the long run, but it's easy, and trying to reach them is hard.

                      @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon

                      No, but those who influenced them definitely should.

                      If a parent hears that vaccinating their child is dangerous for them, albeit falsely, then who can blame them for making the wrong decision.

                      It's those who knowingly spread falsehood that are the real enemy.
