Hello #fediverse!Welcome!
Looks like you already know about the importance of using (and following) hashtags, so I've got nothing else to add beyond "Have a great time!".

AI agent "contributes" PR to matplotlib. Is there a snappy phrase that encapsulates that? Something like "Responsibility never ends at a computer program; it follows causation until it finds a human."? (but one that flows better).

Genuinely appreciate your fact-checking of news. We all wish this were true, but I still want to live in reality.

Sometimes, people on Facebook don't know the Fediverse exists. The Fediverse has a great collection of techies creating the protocols and infrastructure. What we're missing is the folks helping regular people use it.
Hopefully folks like Hannah will start creating that layer. Not just through advocacy, but by hiring staff dedicated to helping people use it.

We love you Minneapolis!AI generated. Please label it as such. Thanks.

What the, and I cannot overstate this, fuck?Wacky, but doesn't beat the article where they compared the sound of digital music files stored on an NTFS file system versus those stored on an ext3 file system.
I can't remember which one won, but one of them reliably had a richer, fuller sound.

As an older tech person, it's legit heartwarming watching the TikTok generation discover why we all hate Oracle. -

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed.@jeffska @LovingFalloutLondon1954
Was it by testing resistance by putting it in parallel with a car battery? Because that's what 10 year old me did.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed. It's been years since I've been in a Sears, and I'd forgotten how they had *everything*, even in the suburbs.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed.I'm a card-carrying member of both the ACLU and the Radio Shack Battery-Of-the-Month club.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed.Makes sense. I'm a spry 63 (
), and I saw them, but they were gone by the time I was old enough to have used one. -
I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed.Good Lord! Do you mind saying when and where this was? Because "dog sled" was not something I expected people to include in their response to this.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed.Nice. What kind of store was it? Because the one I saw was at the grocery store (in SoCal), and when I say that it sounds unbelievable.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed. You're taking to someone who has a still growing collection of slide rules.

Also, to address your last paragraph, this has unintentionally turned into me trawling for new accounts to follow. Glad you took the bait.

I'm reaching the age where people don't believe that the things I vaguely remember from my childhood ever existed. You're the reason I put all the "retro" hashtags on my post.
